A two-section Sisal Pole upgrades our Maze to the Deluxe Maze! This complex is great for giving your cat a place to exercise their brain and body. The puzzle-like layout and included Escape Hatch creates a thought-provoking environment that is ideal for 1-3 cats and the Sisal Pole gives your cat a safe object to scratch and climb.
In late 2019 we launched our collection of Gen. 3 furniture! This latest collection has been meticulously engineered to be the strongest and most versatile collection we’ve produced to date. Instead of pine, we now use bamboo which is an incredibly strong material that had allowed for a thinner and sleeker design. We also added an additional mounting point underneath each Mounting Plank which will provide extra support and hold the furniture rock solid against the wall.
Are your studs 24″ apart?
Our products are designed to mount into studs at 16″ apart on-center. If your studs are not 16″ apart, please contact us before your purchase and we can help you out! Please note that additional materials may need to be purchased.
Already have Cat Mod (pine) items?
Our grommeted fabric is compatible between Cat Mod and Gen 3 (bamboo) furniture! Just extend your current Cat Mod setup using grommeted fabric and you can install any Gen 3 item from there. However, the wooden components are not compatible across our Cat Mod and Gen 3 collections.
This set comes with your choice of Charcoal Gray or Natural cotton canvas.

The Catastrophic Creations designs are rock solid and mount very easily. Unlike typical cat furniture that is not able to be cleaned, on the CC Maze I can just remove the canvas pieces and wash them. Just be sure to put them back up before they dry :). I had to get creative because we are in an old house with (not kidding) studs placed 17” apart. The videos and other info on the website was very helpful. Might be good to add a segment on “Creative ways to deal with non-standard stud placement” and put ideas and allow users to add theirs. Great design and very happy with my purchase!

Hi David! Thank you for your review and kind words. We are so glad that you are happy with the Deluxe Maze. Please let us know if you ever have any questions or issues with it. Thank you!
Difficulty installing, although could possibly be user error I think it largely wasn't- I think that my grommets in the canvas were not spaced correctly on the long canvases. What I mean is that, while the canvases themselves were 32 inches to accommodate between the long spaces, the grommets needed to be 32 inches *apart* to span the distance, and they weren't. Placing the wall anchors in the middle of the studs for maximum support, and at 32 inches apart, I could not install the maze as intended. I was able to make it work with minor adjustments, but that leaves one of my wall anchors on the edge of a stud with only one screw in and one screw out. I will have to reconfigure it for sure. Luckily my cats don't use that level yet so it hasn't been an issue. All of that is only intended to be constructive, and maybe like I said it was user error, because otherwise I really really like the set up. My cats are slowly acclimatizing to it, and I am quite happy because it opened up a lot of space in a small room for us humans where previously there was a large table with two cat hammocks on top that took up horizontal and vertical space. Now it's vertical space right up on the wall. And it's aesthetically much more appealing than the cobbled together set up we had before. Once installed, too, it seems perfectly sturdy and sound, I have no concerns for my cats jumping or otherwise playing on it. I just think that the grommets could be spaced a bit better - even if it was user error, having a little bit more wiggle room for us constructionally challenged might not be such a bad thing.
Hey Clara, thank you so much for your constructive feedback! I've reached out to you via e-mail in hopes that we can help with the installation process!
We put this deluxe maze above our loveseat. We combined it with a sisal climbing pole and two 16 inch cat lounges on the left of the maze. A cat tree is on the right. Our cats took to it immediately. My husband is a carpenter so he was able to put them up without difficulty. Our studs were not 16 inches apart. He put wood behind the drywall to anchor the screws. It’s very modern looking, lightweight and unique. It looks wonderful and is practical. Worth the money. Great customer service too!
This is the 3rd time ordering from your company. One was a gift and they love it. So far only of of our 4 felines (2 adults and 2 kittens) is using it but when the younger kitten gets a bit bigger, I know he will use it too. My only issue is that no wall in this house has appropriately spaced studs but luckily my friend that installed it knew how to adjust.
