When you fasten the cover plate over the fabric and onto the mounting plank, it's really easy to strip the wood as there is a very shallow screw holding the metal bracket to the bamboo itself. I've already done it on two of these mounting planks which basically renders the ~$16 mounting bracket useless. Once you strip that tiny screw, there's nothing to keep the fabric pulled taught between mounting planks as the metal bracket will not remain screwed to the bamboo.

I love the ease of mounting the wall system and how I am able to buy new parts to add to and expand my existing system. My cat is in love with it and has not been gentle and after a month of solid use it still looks like I just put it up. Great product!

We have bought lots of pieces and keep coming back for more additions. They look good on the wall and the cats love them. The only shortcoming are the cheap screws they supply with it. The phillips head screw wants to strip out way too easily. For the price of these things, they should be using torx head screws which don't strip out very easily. The phillips head will usually make it in the first time, but if your wife is like mine, she had me move them at least three times as we add more sections. Since they just about strip out the first time, by the time you use the same screw two or three times, you will be at the hardware store buying spares.
