Product Description

The Mario Cat Complex was the second piece we ever built, and has always been one of our favorite pieces. Unfortunately, we had to stop selling it about a year ago, since its construction wasn’t time-efficient. This is the revised version. We completely changed the construction of the piece to bring the quality up and make it more efficient to produce.

The Mario 2.0 is a hollow complex with sisal-lined portals to allow cats to jump into one and back out the other. It’s a great hiding place for shy cats. Having sisal pieces such as this one around our home has completely stopped our cats from scratching the furniture. It’s a great alternative to declawing.

We’ve improved on the original version in a number of ways. The Mario 2.0 is a larger complex, with larger portals. We are now having the portals professionally sewn, and the complex has a door equipped with hidden hinges. We use birch ply for the structure and the question box is made with pet proof mesh. We have two color schemes for the 2.0: a more toned down version and one with brighter colors that is more true to the original.

This piece comes with pre-drilled holes, spaced out for 16″ studs. If your studs are spaced differently, you can just drill through the wooden mounting pieces to your stud distances.

*Please note: This is a pretty difficult piece to mount alone. You are going to need an extra person, to help you hold the complex up while you mount it.
