Returns

We accept returns within 60 days of delivery. The product must be in new, unused condition to be eligible for a full refund. Any parts with visible damage may not be eligible for refund.

Return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer. You are welcome to send the items back using the carrier of your choice. We can also provide a prepaid return label that we will deduct from the final refund.

About: The Cat Nest Bed

The Nest Cat Bed offers three different shelf types to choose from and a variety of faux fur plush pads and stain colors. Its frame is made from solid bamboo with hidden steel brackets. The front of the bed has a stylish Curved Ledge. This attachment connects to a variety of our shelves to transform them into comfortable cat beds. The Ledge creates a secure barrier for your cat to lean against while keeping the sides open for a cat to lounge out of. We’ve found that our cats prefer having the Curved Ledge to brace their feet against or to look over while feeling more hidden lounging on the wall. The Curved Ledge is an attachment that connects to a variety of our shelves to transform them into comfortable cat beds.

This product can be mounted onto walls with any stud spacing. As long as one mounting point is installed into a stud, the second mounting point will be secure using drywall anchors.

Fantastic quality and exquisite customer service

Elexis at Cat. Creations designed the perfect wall (she was very professional, highly patient, and provided just exquisite customer service). I live in Hawaiʻi so my order (4 large boxes) had to be shipped about 5000 miles. The packaging was top-notch and absolutely nothing was broken (it would take a lot to break these products; they are super-sturdy). The directions were excellent, though I couldʻve used more detail. But Elexis and Mike (owner) have infinite patience and helped me.

Caution: Make damn sure your wall studs are strong enough to hold the weight of these products, plus happy, leaping cats. My studs are metal and I had to hire a contractor to put up a piece of plywood over the wall and the shelves, etc. were installed onto the plywood.

I did receive extra materials that I didnʻt order. I did not receive an offer for reimbursement, just a suggestion that I could buy more products to use up the extras. This actually worked for me as I had extra plywood, so my cat, Pebbles, now has 2 walls ʻo fun! Additionally, I had a LOT of hardware left over (screws, etc.) - not sure why as nothing has fallen down...yet... - but was told just to keep it. I have no use for it. Also, still have one extra piece that I was told just to keep (no offer of reimbursement).

All-in-all, SUPER HAPPY with the results and am SO GLAD I found Catastrophic Creations!!

Regarding the extra materials you received: you're absolutely welcome to send them back if you’d prefer not to keep them. That said, since you're in Hawaiʻi, I want to be transparent that the return shipping would likely cost more than any refund we could offer for the parts. That’s why we suggested holding onto them or using them for future builds, but I totally understand if that’s not ideal for everyone!

What ever cat needs

Our 10 month old kitten took to the escape hatch and napping in the nest right away. We can’t wait to add more to the wall for her

The best is perfect for my clumsy cats

We got the 18” shelf with nest for our two 9 year old active climbers. They love it! We opted not to get the plush bed because they are happy lounging without it. I love the nest addition & I’m so happy they made it. We have an 18” shelf & there were several times my cats got so into their lounging that the rolled right off & id have to catch them (it was above my office desk). My cats are bigger boys (11 & 13 pounds,) and very long. They are not as graceful as cats should be so the nest gives them the added support they need to keep them safely lounging. It is very well made, soft edges and thoughtfully shaped. Love the product & so do my cats.

Oliver Loves It!

Great Catastrophic Creations because cats get bored with toys and view from the ground!

At first the cats didn't seem to be interested but then, as suggested by Catastrophic Creations, I sprinkled the cat nip they included and now one of my cats sleeps there if she is not on my lap. She loves it.
I bought two but this silly 'production home' doesn't seem to have the standard spacing between studs so it was not as easy to position them securely as in the video but I managed to get them securely on the wall.
I have another wall that I did with Catastrophic Creations as well - years ago - and would have included pictures but not allowed (?). The cats run up and down it all the time - sometimes in the middle of the night LOL!

Shelf Mounting Instructions

Stud spacing and wall construction

Most construction in the US is made up of drywall over wall studs, which are wooden or metal 2x4s that act as the frame of the wall and are what the drywall is attached to. Because these studs are very sturdy, we’ve designed the furniture to be installed into them. They’re typically spaced out at 16” from center to center, so that’s what we’ve designed the furniture to accommodate.
