We have built this cat wall in stages as we learned what worked for our cats - 2 Siberian Forest Cats at ages 8 (23 lbs - tux) and 7 (21 lbs - flame point)! It took a bit of time for them to feel confident about the wall, but after a year or so we finally finished phase two (right hand side) and they love the wall. We are impressed with the quality of the components, and as you may notice this is installed on the enclosed "Carolina room" so the exterior is actually Hardie plank as it was designed for the exterior of the house. The only modification we made was to lengthen the base screws to 2.5"! To date the posts, self brackets, and shelves are solid with plenty of strength support for our large cats as they jump from higher to lower levels. If you are really looking for a serious cat wall, look no further!
