Tabitha Kucera is an Elite Fear Free and Low-Stress Handling Certified Registered Veterinary Technician, a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Behavior, a Certified Cat Behavior Consultant, and a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner. She is the founder of Chirrups and Chatter Cat and Dog Behavior Consulting and Training

One of less than 35 Veterinary Technician Specialists in Behavior worldwide, Tabitha brings over a decade of hands-on experience in veterinary medicine, animal behavior, and rescue work. She works with cats and dogs to prevent, manage, and resolve behavior challenges including fear-based aggression, house soiling, destructive behaviors, pet-to-pet tension, and stress around handling, grooming, or veterinary care.

An award-winning educator and international speaker, Tabitha regularly lectures at regional, national, and international conferences, helping animal care professionals and pet caregivers deepen their understanding of animal behavior and strengthen the human-animal bond.

Tabitha has held leadership roles with the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and the Pet Professional Guild’s Cat Committee. She currently serves as President-Elect for the Academy of Veterinary Behavior Technicians and spent six years mentoring and consulting for Cat Pawsitive Pro.

In addition to working directly with pets and caregivers, Tabitha consults with veterinary hospitals and animal shelters, helping teams develop practical training programs, SOPs, enrichment plans, and onboarding resources that improve animal welfare and organizational success.
