A couple months into making our escape hatches we were trying to figure out something to do with the scrap circles of wood we cut out.
Our idea was to make this Sisal Tornado and have cats run up it to get to a circle plush bed at the top.
We attached the circles together with long screws that went through two of them at a time. That part's important, the construction of this piece is what made it such a bad idea.
After weeks of construction, the Tornado was getting to its finishing stages and we decided to give it a weight test. We put very little weight on it and it snapped in half.
