About: 24" Juggernaut

This Luxury Cat Tree is a compilation of almost every wall-mounted cat furniture concept we offer! Although some people prefer to get individual items and use the modular furniture to create their own DIY cat wall playground, the Juggernaut is for those who are looking for the full monty, already designed and ready to install. It includes multiple Hammocks, a Scratching Pole, and a Bridge connecting both sides together. This wall-mounted cat tree is a great option for homes with multiple cats or large cats, not only due to its large size but also because it offers multiple routes throughout the layout. Most cats don’t like to be cornered or feel like they are in a position where they cannot make a quick escape, so a layout like the Juggernaut can help your cat feel at ease.

When designing our Cat Trees/Condos, we always focus on promoting activity and exercise, and the Juggernaut does it best. Cats love to perch on the highest vantage point, and reaching the top level of the Juggernaut means first conquering a series of thought-provoking obstacles. Your cat can enter the wall cat tree from the cat ladder, then follow the path of Hammocks or hop across the Floating Scratching Posts to the Scratching Pole. Climbing the sisal rope-wrapped Scratching Pole is an excellent form of exercise but if your cat would prefer a more low-impact route to the top, they can pop through the Escape Hatch and trek across the roped Bridge.

If you have multiple cats or cats with territorial issues, consider upgrading your Scratching Pole with Leaf Shelves in the dropdown menu to create an extra route for your cats to navigate up and down the pole. The additional path will limit the chance of a cat being cornered or blocked off by another cat.

Not only is it important to provide enrichment for the health of your pets, but it’s also a ton of fun to watch as they learn how to navigate their new jungle gym. Our cat Heisenberg plays catch with an old knit mitten (that he’s ripped to shreds) and tossing it up to the top of the Juggernaut turns him into a lightning-fast jaguar of sorts. He typically only has around 10 trips in him before he’s tapped out.

This Cat Tree/Condo includes a Planter Shelf, but plants are not included. You can add any cat-safe plants to this pot to achieve your desired look. Here are a few plant options that work well with this Condo: Spider Plant, Lemon Butter Fern, Cat Nip, Cat Grass, Variegated Wax Plant, Lilyturf, and Boston Fern.

Cleaning the Wall-Mounted Cat Tree

When it comes to cleaning the Juggernaut, it’s a pretty quick and easy process. Please keep cleaning in mind when you decide on how high to install this cat condo on the wall. We suggest taking a cat hair roller and running it over the installed cat hammocks on a weekly basis.

  • Cotton Canvas Hammocks – Machine wash on cold on gentle cycle, hang dry.
  • Vinyl Hammocks – These can be wiped down without removing the hammock from the wall. Either use a diluted soap/water mixture, or we recommend a pet safe cleaner.
  • Bamboo – wipe down with a damp towel in diluted soap/water mixture.
  • Scratching posts sections –  These are meant to be clawed by the cat and can be easily removed/replaced as they get warn down. Replacement segments can be found by clicking here.

Behavioral Benefits of the Juggernaut Cat Tree/Condo

We work closely with behavioral experts to understand how our designs can help promote mental stimulation, and the Juggernaut checks all the boxes by incorporating a wide range of activities in an all-in-one cat playground. Create a thought-provoking route up your wall to provide a positive source of enrichment and give your cat a space of their own. Experts in behavior explain that providing these healthy outlets can have a positive impact on a cat’s behavior, health, and quality of life.

A Cat Tree Designed to Promote Exercise

When cats were domesticated and moved indoors they were provided with many benefits, like a constant source of food and safety from predators. But with the transition, they lost the access they had to many different sources of enrichment, like hunting and climbing. The Juggernaut is designed to replicate these activities and creates an obstacle course of sorts that the cat must make their way through to access their new favorite area to lounge. Under-stimulated cats are prone to oversleeping and obesity. Numerous studies have been published which show that the majority of indoor cats worldwide are either overweight or obese.

The Best Cat Condo for Large Cats

With large cats, it can be difficult to find cat tree options that will accommodate their large bodies and provide the essential space for them to play and lounge. The Juggernaut is specifically designed with extra space making it our first suggestion when people ask for an option for large cats*.

*Please note that by ‘large cats,’ we’re referring to their frames rather than their weight, and if your cat is obese, then a better option would be The Overlook. This floor-standing cat condo still has that extra space, but doesn’t go so high in the air, which prevents the risk of falling from the cat playground.

Stud spacing and wall construction

Most construction in the US is made up of drywall over wall studs, which are wooden or metal 2x4s that act as the frame of the wall and are what the drywall is attached to. Because these studs are very sturdy, we’ve designed the furniture to be installed into them. They’re typically spaced out at 16” from center to center, so that’s what we’ve designed the furniture to accommodate.
